Our Estate Planning Process

OUR PROCESS MATTERS JUST AS MUCH AS THE DOCUMENTS.

At Sullivent Law Firm, we believe the way legal services are delivered is just as important as the final result. The client experience is not an afterthought. It is something we have been intentional about for years.

Legal work should feel clear, efficient, and respectful of your time. That starts with transparency. Our general pricing is available online so you can understand potential costs before ever stepping into our office. Scheduling is simple with our online calendar, allowing you to book a time that works for you without needing to make a phone call.

We offer free initial consultations, which we approach as strategy sessions. During this meeting, we combine our legal knowledge with decades of real-world experience to design a plan tailored specifically to your goals.

Afterward, you will receive a detailed email outlining our recommendations along with exact pricing. Thisgives you the space to make a decision without pressure. If you choose to move forward, we typically provide draft documents within one week. At the same time, you will receive a scheduling link to book your review meeting at your convenience.

During your review meeting, we walk through everything together, answer your questions, make any necessary revisions, and complete the signing. From start to finish, the entire process usually takes about two weeks.

Our pricing reflects the time and care required to properly serve each client. We have also researched market rates to ensure our fees remain fair and competitive.

You may also notice our documents are often shorter and more straightforward than others. This is intentional. We focus on what is necessary to accomplish your goals without overwhelming you with unnecessary legal language. We genuinely enjoy what we do, and that shows in every step of our process.

Our Practice Areas

Estate Planning

Estate planning is our primary focus. We have seen firsthand that proactive planning is far more effective and far less stressful than dealing with complications after the fact.

Trust Actions

Trust actions are lawsuits requesting a judge add a trustee if the named trustees are deceased unable to serve, or settle a dispute over the meaning of certain provisions of the trust or reprimand a trustee who is managing the trust improperly. If a trust has been created, and there are problems, we can help.

Issues at Passing

We support families navigating the loss of a loved one, especially when proper planning was not in place. Our goal is to provide clarity, guidance, and help avoid probate whenever possible.

Medicaid Planning

With the rising cost of long-term care (LTC), planning ahead is critical. Most people think and hope they won’t need it. But in 2025, it was estimated there were 1.2 million people in nursing facilities alone. Many think Medicare will pay for it, but Medicare will pay 100 days at most and only in limited situations. That leaves paying $5,000-$10,000* a month from savings or the sale of assets. We help clients restructure assets so that they are protected if our client needs to qualify for Medicaid to cover LTC costs. LTC should be considered when doing your estate planning.
